Center Floated Box
Ver 2.4
Easy template to construct. It is just simple three main divs
which form the top bar, content section and bottom bar. The top
and bottom bars have a width of 100% and the content bar' width
is defined by it's left and right marins to allow the template
to "flow". This also makes it very easy to add side columns, just
match their width to the margins and hey presto!
By the way, I have used overflow:auto; for the content box,
just for convenience but it actually adds something, yah?
This template has been tested in:
- Mozilla 1.5b & Firefox 0.8
- Internet Explorer 6
- Netscape 7.1
- Opera 7.11
Changes in this version:
- Removed width definition.
- Changed left & right margins to make the center box flexible

Figure 5-24. Italic and oblique text in detail
Basically, italic text is in some way its own font, with smallchanges made to the structure of each letter to account for thealtered appearance. This is especially true of serif fonts, where inaddition to the fact that the text characters "lean," theserifs may be altered in an italic face. Oblique text, on the otherhand, is simply a slanted version of the normal, upright text. Fontfaces with labels like Italic, Cursive,
Figure 4-60. Correct, although strange, decorative behavior
By now, you may be despairing of ever using text decorations, thanks
to all the problems they could cause. It gets worse, though (or maybe
better), because so far we've been exploring the way things
should work according to the specification. In
reality, many web browsers do turn off underlining in child elements,
even though they shouldn't really do so. The reason they
violate the specification is simple enough: author expectations.
P {text-decoration: underline; color: black;}
For better layout control, specify image dimensions, horizontal andvertical padding space (in pixels, 72 pixels/inch), alignment, etc. Specifyingimage dimensions lets the client browser block out the space and composethe page quicker. You can stop text wrapping by including a CLEAR attribute in a line-breaktag. Move your mouse over the image and you'll see the text that'sspecified in the ALT attribute. | | The IMG tag's LEFT and RIGHT
As you can see, the order of the actual values doesn't reallymatter. The following three rules will yield exactly the same border,as illustrated in Figure 7-47: H1 {border-bottom: 3px solid gray;}H2 {border-bottom: solid gray 3px;}H3 {border-bottom: 3px gray solid;}
